We know that when we want to express our love for that “special someone”, each person has their own style of doing so. We have our own unique way of using gestures, words, actions, and phrases, which convey not just our love, but also who we are inside, when conveying that love.

Likewise, everybody has their own individual sexual style. That style conveys who we uniquely are during sex. So where does our personal sexual style derive from? It derives from two sources:

1. First, our own sexual style is derived from our sense of what sex is and what it is primarily used for. For some people, sex is about expressing love and experiencing the most profound emotional connection that can happen with another man or women. For others, sex is primarily about experiencing a sexual pleasure and learning new ways to achieve that feeling.

2. The second area where our style is derived from is from the kind of identities that we want to take on during sex. Some of use want to take on being dominant, others submissive. Generally these characteristics are not how we feel during our daily life interactions, and so it feels good to play that opposite role during sex.
